Terms of Use

These terms apply to the synthtower app for iPhone, operated by Karel Šorejs. They are short because the app is simple: no accounts, no services, nothing in the cloud.

Your music is yours

Everything you create with the app, including tracks you start from the built-in genre tracks, belongs to you. You may use, release and sell it anywhere, including commercially, with no credit required.

Your files

Projects, synth settings, samples and recordings are saved on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them. Keep copies of important work by exporting it. We have no copy and cannot recover lost projects.

Your own sounds

Only import or record sounds you have the right to use. You are responsible for what you put into the app and for what you publish from it.

Microphone

The microphone is used only while you record a sample, and only after you start the recording yourself. Recordings stay on your device. See the privacy policy.

Purchase

synthtower is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store, under Apple's standard terms. Apple handles payment, receipts and refunds. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

The app as it is

The app is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep it stable, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost work or other damages arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The current version is always at synthtower.com/terms, with the effective date at the top.
