Privacy Policy

This policy covers the synthtower app for iPhone and the website synthtower.com. The short version: we collect nothing.

1. Who we are

synthtower is a music-making app for iPhone, operated by Karel Šorejs. If you have any question about this policy, write to support@synthtower.com.

2. Data the app collects

None. The app has no user accounts and asks for no name, e-mail address or other personal information. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it does not transmit data to us or to anyone else. It works fully offline.

In App Store Connect, synthtower is declared as Data Not Collected. This policy is written to match that declaration.

3. Your projects, recordings and settings

Projects, synth settings, samples, recordings and app preferences are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. We cannot see them and have no copy of them.

• Deleting the app deletes this data. Export anything you want to keep first.
• If you use iCloud Backup or back your iPhone up to a computer, the app's data is included in that backup like any other app data. Those backups are handled by Apple and your device, not by us.

4. Microphone

The app asks for microphone access only when you start a recording yourself, in the sampler. The microphone is used solely to capture that recording, and the recording is saved on your device. The app never records in the background and never sends audio anywhere. You can withdraw access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.

5. Files you import and export

When you import a WAV file, you choose it yourself through the iOS file picker, and the copy is stored on your device. When you export a track, the app renders an audio file and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there (Files, AirDrop, Mail, another app) is your choice, and we are not part of that transfer.

6. Purchases

synthtower is a paid app sold through the Apple App Store. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, and Apple's own privacy policy applies to the transaction.

7. Children

Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children either.

8. This website

synthtower.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party embeds. Fonts are served from this site, not from a font service. Like virtually every web server, our hosting may keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and troubleshooting. They are not used to identify or profile you.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. The current version is always at synthtower.com/privacy.
